You know, my wife sometimes reminds me that throughout my lifetime I probably dropped the ball about 20,000 times. Then I remind her that sometimes that can be good as things always seem to turn out for the best.

Got me thinking.

What if there was a wall ball out there you could drop 20,000 times and this was a good thing?

So I challenged my manufacturing team to look at the best way to manufacture a wall ball and build it Wasatch Tough so it can withstand 20,000 drops. Done.

Now, you ever experience the many wall balls out there that even if they could withstand 20,000 drops, they use a dense ball of sand that is packed in the center (not always, sometimes it's off to begin with) but it tends to gravitate towards one side of the wall ball and becomes so lopsided you don't want to use it even if it would last?

So I made a second challenge with my manufacturing team and we came up with a new design from inside out, instead of using sand we use a specialized inner filler that is less dense and less likely to shift around keeping the weight and center of gravity closer to the center of the ball.

Then you know how some wall balls are easier to grip, catch and hold on to, and some leave much to be desired in this respect?

So we looked at the high end wall balls in the industry that used a premium grade cover material and asked how we could make ours even better. We then tried and tested a plethora of cover types for both durability and gripability and made a perfect solution: a ball you can grip well dry OR wet, from your first rep to the last one.
