This tribal soumak carpet runner was hand woven and hand knotted using hand spun wool and natural dyes. It measures 8 feet long X 27 inches wide. It is very unusual and rare. Colors are coral, beige, blue, black in a design that looks like a carpet inside the runner. Soumak carpets are made with geometric patterns and generally with tribal motifs that are flat woven surrounding the geometric patterns. This special type of weave is called Soumak.
