Oyster shells are a supplement to chickens' diets to help maintain strong egg shells. The chickens can take exactly what they need as long as it is offered in a separate feeder. Just fill up the feeder, hang it on a screw (provided), and your hens will take as much as they need. Drainage holes in the bottom allow water to drain out while oyster shells remain.
The grit feeder is perfect for chickens who don't free range. Chickens use grit in their gizzard to help them digest their food. You can buy poultry grit from any feed supply store (like Cal Ranch or IFA).
$12 each. I can ship one for $4.50 or both for $8.
They are new. I do need to charge sales tax because it's a small business. Check out my other chicken feeders!
