This has been one of the best purchases being a parent for 16 years. I taught all 5 of my children how to read with these books. They are brilliantly designed, based on extensive research, and teach kids to read in a step-by-step fashion focusing on certain letter/sound combinations in each book. Even though all of my kids learn in different ways, each one was a strong reader by the end of this series and ready for 1st grade (I went through these books with them in preschool and kinder). I've tried so many other series, but this is the only one that works solidly all the way through and actually makes sense.

I am not a homeschool mom, so it is important for me to have short learning lessons with my littles after their half-day preschool/kinder. My kids did not learn how to read in their classrooms (teachers don't have time for quality one-on-one); they learned how to read from me and this series.

My kids loved the pictures and silly story lines. They were engaged and wanted to read to see what happened next. This is so important for short attention spans.

All 52 books pictured are included with none missing, all in good condition, no tears or stains. The blue series has a clear last name sticker for our family for when my 1st was in Learning Dynamics. She is the only one who attended LD. The rest of my kids all learned to read without the LD preschool.
