Description

Wonderful riding classic italian steel bike by Bianchi. Has been one of my favorite rides this summer as I sorted it out. Now ready to pass on to someone else to love as I seek out one in my size.

This amazing Bianchi give a very fast and responsive ride on the road while being quite comfortable.

Bought this locally as a bit of a project bike even though I knew it was a bit small for me. I spend my free time sorting out old road bikes, enjoy them for awhile, and then pass them on at a loss for someone else to enjoy.

This bike is 100% ready to ride, needs absolutely nothing. As I sorted it out I was able to drop another 1 1/2 lbs off the already light bike.

Bike has new, high end racing tires with latex innertubes for increased comfort, lower rolling resistance, and improved puncture resistance. New cables and cable housing, new chain, new bar tape, new brakes and brake levers with used Koolstop brake pads for improved stopping power. New celeste bottle cages to finish out the classic Bianchi look. I also did a lot of paint polishing and other work to revive the shine on this classic beauty. The paint isn't perfect but its really good for the age of the bike. All parts fully serviced as I worked on the bike.

The original Suntour Superbe Pro shifters, front derailluer and rear derailluer were serviced and left on the bike. These were considered the best of the best back in the day and clearly superior to anything Campagnolo had at that time. It also has a high-end Ofmega Super Competizione crankset that was considered top of the line at the time. This beauty is loaded with all the good stuff!

For reference I'm 5' 8" with longer legs and the saddle is adjusted for me. So this bike can fit a pretty good height range of riders.

Figure in that with my initial cost of a few hundred for the bike and you'll see this is a steal of a deal for a top notch Bianchi racing bike that is ready for years and years of trouble free riding.

I do totally love how this one feels under me on the road so I will have no problem keeping it if it doesn't go at my asking price. I'm just curious if another Bianchi my size will actually ride even better for me. Obviously if you come look at it and see a problem I missed I will negotiate on the price.

The Keo pedals in the pictures will not be sold with the bike but I can provide some flat pedals if you want.
