If you're learning new moves in the terrain park or hitting big air, these gloves are perfect to keep your wrists from getting hurt on the rare bad landing. As the picture shows, the lower wrist guard can easily be removed. Great warm gloves with the extra benefit of keeping your wrists safe. Unfortunately my hands have gotten a bit to big for them and had to buy the XL's.
