**UPDATE** I DID A COMPRESSION TEST AND, EVEN WITH A HORRIBLY LOOSE TIMING CHAIN, ALL THE CYLINDERS HAD BETWEEN 85 AND 95 PSI. I know next to nothing about this engine. It came with a car I bought, and I'm not going to use it. I haven't had time to look for any significant identifying marks, but I believe it came out of an early '70's "big car". I say early '70's because of the lack of an EGR valve on the intake manifold, and I say a "big car" because it came with a long tailshaft TH400 trans. Not seized, will turn over by hand. Comes with a barrel of extra parts. I was going to try to get it running, but I'd have had to buy a bunch of gaskets and stuff. I'll let you do that. One other thing I'm sure of, like all these older, large cube engines, they're getting harder and harder to find. I think this one would be a good builder for a Buick guy.(That's not me) $450/obo, cash in person only. If you want the trans, for a core, I'll throw that in for an extra $100.
