What is a true nuc or nucleus?

A true nuc is a working starter hive that jump starts your hive by 3 plus or more weeks. It consists of 5 deep frames of bees in a cardboard or plastic nuc box. The frames will have honey, pollen, eggs, larva along with lots of worker bees, and of course a new 2026 mated queen.

The queens produce a lot of honey and have a good disposition, but they are bees! Lol.

Most importantly, the new 2026 queen has already been released and accepted by the bees, and it's her eggs in the nuc your getting which is super important. You dont have the risk of releasing the queen, we do and that makes a real nuc.
