I’ve had this uke for a while. I’ve been torn between leaving it with its battle scars or getting it refinished. It is from before 1962, but as Martin did not serialize their ukuleles of the time an exact date is not known. After 1962 they added a “Made in USA” line to their internal stamping. This is the model made more famous by Iz and has a tribute model in his name made and sold these days around $2k+. This has a few repairable cracks in it, that the previous owner taped over instead of gluing. Has wear and tear from being played and a name etched into the back of the neck.
