Jemez artist Laura Gachupin was born into the Corn Clan and has won many awards for her pottery creations. Laura digs her own clay and makes beautiful traditional polished redware, ribbed melon jars, and swirl jars. She has demonstrated pottery making both in and out of the state of New Mexico.
