Made in the USA, Vintage 1996 “Heavenly Angel” depicts a Lion and Fawn coexisting in peace during the Millennial era. This is a rock sculpture from United Design Corporation and is marked Limited Edition #681 United Designs. Beautiful Christian art depicting a lion and fawn peacefully coexisting together with a heavenly angel. Very substantial piece of sculpture made of hydrostone weighing 25 pounds.
United Design Corporation was founded in 1973 by Gary & Jeanie Clinton, who started with a single kiln in a backyard chicken coop. They quickly grew from neighborhood sales to nationwide distribution. At its peak, the company's work force averaged about 750 employees in Noble, Oklahoma, a small rural community on the outskirts of Oklahoma City. The company expanded sales to Canada, the United Kingdom and China. Clinton's philosophy always had been to keep jobs local. He could make up for cheaper labor costs overseas through innovations in the production process, he said. The company was run as a team effort between Gary and Jeanie Clinton for about 25 years. The Clintons divorced, and sold control of its facilities in 1998 to Charterhouse, a New York private equity investment firm. United Design's entire manufacturing process was soon moved to China and the Far East.
