Antique, Brass cased WWII compass made by S&W of New York. Great condidtion brass case and internal components. Still works and points north. Stamped US on front of case. Latch still operates to open and locks closed. This one is in great shape compared to others I have seen. A must have for avid collector.

The face is graduated every 5 degrees and numbered every 20 degrees. The “S.&W.N.Y.” inscription refers to Schwab & Wuischpard, a firm that began in business in New York in the 1920s, specialized in watch cases, and made compasses of this sort during World War II.
