Full size violin made by master luthier M J Loff of Portland Oregon on Dec 19th, 1929. It was his 9th violin he had made. Marked on label. All repairs in spruce top have been made in recent years. At some point in the past it had scroll pegbox cheek repairs and re-bushed peg holes done. New ebony fittings, tail piece, chin rest, tuning pegs and nut. Violin is in great condition beautiful translucent light orange/red finish. Two piece gorgeous highly figured, flamed maple back. Beautiful old violin with rich, warm sound. Would be a great violin for a student or a great second for a professional. Authentic hand-made, antique that transcends time by only getting better. American Maker(rare for that era). Made at the beginning of the Great Depression - 1929. Nearing it's 100 year old mark.
