Premium Intermediate 4/4 Cello; a faithful reproduction of a c. 1690 Stradivarius. This cello was made by one luthier from beginning to end from solid tone woods aged and air dried more than 12 years. This instrument would be a great transition (and a big step up) for someone playing a standard rental instrument or even a high end student model. Price is firm. I only accept cash.

The grain of spruce top is tight and straight and very beautiful; the back is fairly undefined but beautifully varnished maple. It is finished with an Antique Red Italian Oil varnish that gives the grain of the wood a soft satin luster and allows the wood to breathe.

The pegs and fingerboard are solid ebony, I have refitted it with a Wittner composite tailpiece with 4 internal tuners. This is also a custom string configuration with Spirocore Tungston strings on the C & G strings, and Larson strings on the D & A. The strings are new. The end pin is carbon fiber composite. It has a rich deep tone.

It comes with a soft case, a brazilwood student quality bow and some back up strings (lesser quality.)
