Gary Fisher Supercaliber from 1991. This bike is from the early era of 1 1/4” oversize evolution headtube setups, so 1 1/4” headset, forks, etc. \
-26” Mavic M231 with Bullseye hubs, 28F/32R spokes. -Chris King Oversize 1 1/4” sealed bearing headset (rare and HTF size) -Early (1st gen?) Answer Manitou front suspension fork in hard to find 1 1/4” size. Rebuild elastomer kits are available online to refresh these early sets.\
This is a high quality mostly era correct build. Bought it to use some of it on a different build I was working on but can’t bring myself to split this up. So giving someone a chance to snag this up before I end up getting to work on bike projects.
Pictures show the overall very good condition given its age and purpose. One spoke on rear wheel needs replacing but wheel still spins and rides smoothly.
Parted out this bike would bring me more money, but hoping someone local wiuld appreciate it as a complete bike. If not, I will end up parting it out for my own builds and selling extra parts. This is priced for local sale, would consider shipping at an increased price to cover time and shipping costs.
22” top tube, 31” standover height (at the middle of top tube), 20” seat tube (center of bottom bracket to top of tube).
Keywords cross compatibility: Direct competitor and swappable parts with Yeti ARC, Klein, Marin, trek, other “high end” early vintage mountain bike companies. MTB bicycle specialized stumpjumper rockhopper
