A very rare variant figure from the POTF2/SOTE series (c. 1996-1997). This is the super-rare carded version of Princess Leia in "Collection 1" packaging. In 1996.
Kenner added collection numbers (Collections 1, 2 and 3) to all POTF2 figures, starting with the last run of orange/red cards in late 1996 and ending with the green cards in 1997.
As most collectors know, the Leia Boushh figure was originally released in SOTE packaging (1996) but was later reissued in POTF2 packaging (1997). For whatever reason, at or around the same time this figure was reissued, Kenner also made a VERY small number of SOTE-packaged Boushh figures with the "Collection 1" imprint. I have never heard a viable explanation as to why this was done but in the final analysis, this card variation is EXTREMELY rare and its existence was actually doubted for a long time.
The figure is 100% factory sealed and the packaging is in terrific condition. There are no price stickers or distributor labels (the latter is commonly found on this variant).
