The PAS-1657 Tier1 replacement pool and spa filter is built to quickly and efficiently clean your water while protecting your investment. 175 square feet of 3 ounce pleated fabric media makes a strong filter that works efficiently, even when loaded with sediment. The highly durable polypropylene core helps holds this media, and maintain a great flow rate.

- Keep the Water Clean: The pleated fabric filter maximizes contact between filter media, allowing for greater capacity and reduction. The durable & washable 175 sq ft fabric has tight porosity and a dense weave which sifts out unwanted hair, leaves, dust, sediment, sand, etc. with a high strength, high flow design.
- Fit and Dimensions: The cartridge is designed for systems that use a 8 15/16 inches (Outside diameter) x 23 1/4 inches (Length) spa or pool filter.
- Easy to Install & Maintain: Fits and performs just as well as the original equipment manufacturer product. It is recommended that you change your pool or spa filter when the pressure gauge on the filter tank reaches 8 psi above the pressure recorded when first installed.

Pleated Filter Media Pleated filters are more structurally stable than non pleated and also maximize the effectiveness of your filter by exposing contaminants to an increased surface area. Washable Pleats Extend the life and increase efficiency of your filter by cleaning it with a gentle stream of water. When you're filling your pool, remove and rinse your filter at the same time! Do not use high pressure pressure hoses or abrasive brushes as this can damage the filter. Tier1 also offers a Pool Filter Wand Brush that attaches to the end of any standard garden hose.
Sand and Sediment Reduction Keeps your pool clean and pump free from sand and sediment that would otherwise cause damage or equipment failure.
Easy Installation and Maintenance 1. Replace your filter when the pressure gauge on your filter tank reaches 8 psi above the pressure recorded when first installed.

Turn off the power to your pump and bleed the excess air pressure of the system using the air valve on the filter.

Remove any band clamps and/or lids to your filter.

Remove the cartridge from the filter canister and dislodge any loose debris

Rinse the cartridge thoroughly with clean fresh water and return it to the filter tank. Secure the tank lid and any band clamps.
