DETAILS Good for a clean up crew in your tanks, science projects, or pets. I would recommend this species for just about anything because they are EASY to keep and very beginner friendly! In fact, they're pretty much impossible to kill. I would know- I've tried. They breed quickly and will eat anything. They're the most carnivorous of the isopod species I've kept personally. They're very friendly and easy to handle, and their huge size is pretty fun. They do well in a wide range of parameters. For example, they aren't too picky about substrate and can handle substrate more on the wet side, and substrate more on the dry side.

Springtails are another important part of the cleanup crew for a vivarium or terrarium! When purchasing the mixed cups, I take the soil directly from my master colony, which contains a healthy population of springtails already living in it.
