VenmoPrice Reduced Again This is my most accurate automatic watch, and in near perfect condition. The Islander ISL-151 "PAN AM". A dual time dive watch, the PAN AM, so called because they were the first pilots to request a GMT watch, as the legend goes. Featuring a 38mm case, it is perfect for the smaller wrist. Lug tip to lug tip is just 44mm, so it will not overhang your wrist.
The white dial has silver applied indices, generously filled with Superluminova C3 compound, for low-light visibility. The hands are polished silver, and filled the same.
The bezel is a 120 click, uni-directional ratcheting bezel. But, instead of a conventional dive bezel, it is fitted with a sapphire, dual time insert. This makes the watch useful to track a second time zone. The insert is slightly sloped, and blends perfectly into the double domed, anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The crown is screw down, to ensure a full 200 meters of water resistance.
Powering the watch is a Seiko NH36 movement. This 24 jewel movement both handwinds and hacks, and provides 40 hours of power reserve. Sealing the watch is the Islander embossed lighthouse design caseback. Includes a 20mm bracelet with curved endlinks for a smooth integration, and it is sized with screws.
NOTE: The Islander dive and dual-time watch is compatible with aftermarket parts available at Island Watch (and elsewhere) for the Seiko SKX013 models, such as crystals, bezels, inserts, chapter rings, dials, hands, bracelets, etc. (This watch is original, and has not been modified.)
