The Story Behind the Card On February 15, 2024, playing at home for the Iowa Hawkeyes against Michigan, Caitlin Clark needed just 8 points to surpass Kelsey Plum’s previous NCAA women's career scoring record (3,527 points).

She didn't waste any time. Less than three minutes into the first quarter, she pulled up from well past the left wing—hitting one of her signature "logo threes"—to officially break the record. She didn't just break the record that night; she went on to score a career-high and Iowa single-game record 49 points.
