ZelleI have multiple sizes and various styles of chains that fit bars up to 20" bars.\
I also will sharpen any chain that you presently have at the same cost for the sizes listed above that I sell them for. The only price difference is, any chain that fits a 24" to 30" bar, I charge $6 to sharpen, & any chain that fits a 32" bar and above, I charge $7.00 to sharpen.
I receive these chains from many rental outlets. When these rental outlets rent a chainsaw, they always send it out with a new chain, whether it's been used 5 minutes or 8 hours. They always put a new chain on for the next renter. I acquire their used chains, clean, sharpen, and oil them professionally using a machine, not a file or jig. I sharpen them to razor perfection. I was a logger in Oregon for a time and learned how to properly care for chainsaws and chains. I'm not a rookie, I know what i'm doing. I've only dealt locally with friends in the past. Now that I'm retired, I've decided to expand my operation. I have many more rental outlets now providing me with chains regularly. I have over 3,000+ chains currently.
FYI: I throw away about 10% of the chains I acquire because I can tell immediately if someone has cut roots in the dirt with them or use a file to sharpen them. I will not sell those because I want to sell a quality product. Cutting a root is the worst thing to do with your chainsaw, because dirt and rocks will ruin the teeth on the chain fast, not to mention the damage it can do to your bar. A file is not a good way to sharpen a chain becouse the teeth are not evenly cut, and the angles of the edges are not even which will effect the cutting speed and quality.
FYI: You should always have an extra chain on hand, so when your chain goes dull you can change out your chain fast and then get the dull chain sharpened later when it's convenient. I'm able to do that for you generally very fast while you wait.
