When you think you’re the coolest guy in the parking lot, and then this guy shows up in his 1986 Chevrolet M1031 Contact Maintenance Truck. This is a perfect example of what the climax of American engineering gave the automotive industry. Powered by a strong running 6.2 Liter Detroit Diesel engine, with just over 7,000 (yes that’s right, seven thousand) ORIGINAL miles. Not rolled over or replaced odometer, these are original miles. Other than some beautiful patina, this truck is completely rust free (see attached pictures of frame, rockers, undercarriage and such). Mated to the Detroit is one of the most robust transmissions ever manufactured, the THM-400 automatic. Mated to the trans is an NP205 cast iron transfer-case, equipped with a PTO to run the body mounted 12kw 1~3 phase generator, and air compressor. Rear axle is a Corporate 14 bolt full floating axle with a Detroit locker, and 4.56 gears. The front axle is a Kingpin Dana 60, with Tru-Trac limited slip differential, meaning this thing is legit 4x4. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions. Selling for a dear friend who is located in Layton Utah.
