PayPal** 1950’S SKANEATELES TRACK AND TWO TRAIN SET**
My favorite when I was a tyke. 1950’s wooden two train set. NOT Playskool. Consists of Diesel Locomotive w/flat bed, box car and caboose; Steam Locomotive w/ tender, box car and caboose. I think this is two sets combined. I remember the original red box that did not say Playskool so it is before they bought the Skaneateles company.
8 9” straight; 4 6” straight; 12 curved (reversible to change curve direction); 2 “Switch”; 1 ea Reverse connection.; 2 Ramps; 1 X-over; Blocks to raise track. Also Semaphore set (see pix) . All in a handmade box by my father.
Since it is antique- around 60 years ,there are a few condition issues here and there. The hardrock maple track pieces may have some warpage, but minimal. The rubber connection inserts aren’t real pliable, but still function. A couple of hooks are missing from the cars. It appears the Steam Locomotive has a little water affect and a wheel is chipped. The railroad crossing sign has one broken arm. But hey- it has survived remarkable well for that time. Look closely at pix.
