Runs good and has been kept inside on a pallet in my shop. This is the 24 valve duratec V6 3.0 l Cleveland dual overhead cam engine. it even has the catalytic converter and the O2 sensors still attached.

We drove it here so yes it runs very good. We pulled it, put it on a pallet, pulled the valve covers and resealed it with all new gaskets, seal kit, spark plugs and the like in preparation for an install into a recipient vehicle that never happened.

There are two options for a Ford escape engine interchange...

Option one, (early) water pump is driven by the intake camshaft (this one)...

Option two, (late) water pump is driven by the exhaust camshaft, (not this one)

2005 The water pump is driven by the intake camshaft.

2006 was a split year and could be either one.

2007 the water pump is driven by the exhaust camshaft.

This engine has the water pump driven by the intake camshaft.

This engine will fit these makes and models with these options...

FORD ESCAPE 05-07 gasoline, 3.0L (VIN 1, 8th digit), water pump driven by intake camshaft

MERCURY MARINER 05-07 gasoline, 3.0L (VIN 1, 8th digit), water pump driven by intake camshaft

MAZDA TRIBUTE 05-06 6-183 (3.0L, VIN 1, 8th digit), water pump driven by intake camshaft.
