2009 Chevrolet Express Bus (Bus to RV Conversion)
EDIT: I recently purchased $1500 in supplies including: insulation, subfloor, raptor liner and primer, unistrut (for solar rack), 500 stainless steel rivets, aluminum angle for trim and 2 seats with swivel bases, 10 tubes for Sikaflex 221 uv sealant.
Chevy Vortec 6.0 L V8 Gas Engine Mileage: 115300 All the seats and interior have been stripped and this Bus is ready to convert into what ever you want it to be. My plan was to do a Bus to RV Conversion. This bus was used by an Independent Living Senior Facility in Clearfield Utah. Chassis Rust is minimal (good bones). The Floor is in great shape with no water damage. You can build on top of it. The Bus was purchased from the Senior Facility by the Facilities Maintenance Person. The bus was damaged when the Senior Facility bus driver backed it into a carport. This damaged the doors for the Wheelchair Lift and the passenger side wall and windows. I removed the side walls and windows and welded in a new structure (see pictures) and replaced the fiberglass walls with 16 Gauge Aluminum. This wall structure is much stronger and more durable than the original walls. All rusty metal was completely replaced. This bus is at a great place to build out the interior. It has a great structure and the Engine is in great condition (starts up every time with no issues). And it was serviced regularly by the Senior Facility. I drove the bus home (about 20 miles) and it's been parked in a garage the whole time while I've worked on it. The Bad: The paint has flaked and come off the Chevy hood and front wheel well panels. (Very common on the Chevy Express Platform) The Driver seat is usable, but will need to be replaced. The bus now looks like a Cyber Bus with the new Aluminum walls. (I was going to repaint the entire thing with Raptor Liner or Aluminum Boat Paint) The Good: Strong Engine. Walls are now much better than the Original. It's already been demoed so you can start building. Tires are in great shape. I have a bunch of materials like wood, insulation and RV windows that will all go with the Vehicle. I will continue the conversion until it sells. The price may go up as I complete different projects. No Scammers. I have the title in hand. You can see the VIN number in the pictures. I am located in Mountain Green, Utah. It's 15 minutes from the Layton/Ogden Area. Call or Text Brian @ 801-661-7253
