Seeds saved from an heirloom variety will produce viable plants generation after generation. If you save the seeds from these, you should be able to grow more radishes and could be part of a seed bank you can use sustain yourself. I have other vegetables listed as welll (radishes, sunflower seeds, romaine lettuce, stevia, and more. I grew the ones in the picture in January in a windowsill - harvested in February.)
