These are Not California bees or bees with California queen added. Bees and queens are Italian/Carniolan cross, locally adapted stock derived from USDA VSH (varroa sensitive hygiene) breeding program. Utah/Idaho bred and raised.

Nucs are treated for mites with approved organic methods.

Nucs are delivered in reusable, recyle-able plastic nuc box ($18.oo value).

Nucleus hives are cost effective- they will provide a 4 week+ head start compared to package bees and increase prospects of surplus honey the first year.
