Warning I keep many different types of underwater invertebrates such as shrimp, snails, and daphnia. Hitchhikers with the plants are almost a guarantee. Floaters:
Variety Mix: Water lettuce, Salvina Cucullata, Duckweed $15 for 8oz portion $25 for “whatever I can spare” •You will get AT MINIMUM a 55 gallons worth of floaters if not more. Whatever is on hand and able to be spared at the time :)
Dwarf water lettuce - with duckweed $10 for 8oz portion - covers 20 gallon high •About 15-20 heads
Salvina Cucullata - with duckweed $20 for 8 oz portion - about 8 clusters (10-15 leaves each head)
Carpeting plants
Dwarf Sag (Sagittaria subulata) $10 for 5 shoots •Used in mid-ground/ background •Gets about 6-12”
Cryptocoryne Wendtii Green $10 for 2 Starter plants (3+ inches)
Lilys
Taiwan Lily (Nymphoides Hydrophylla) $10 for 1 shoot (7+ inches) $15 for 3 shoots (2-5 inches) •Decently sized, round, green leaves that will remain underwater •Propagates very easily
Riparian Plants - Grown at water level : •Plants like these are common houseplants grown with the roots submerged in the tank and the leaves out in the open. •Best form of plant filtration
