Torquey CP2 Powerplant

Yamaha's proven 689cc twin-cylinder DOHC fuel-injected engine delivers strong power across the RPM range for an exhilarating ride. The 270-degree crankshaft provides linear torque for exciting acceleration with limited vibration.

Thin Proportions for Perfect Control

With the slimmest proportions in the R-Series family, the YZF-R7 delivers confident cornering performance and quick, agile direction changes. The slim design helps reduce wind resistance, while aerodynamic bodywork incorporates the rider's body to improve airflow around the bike.

Sport Suspension

An inverted 41mm front fork with optimized spring and damping settings provides excellent front-end feel under braking and while cornering. The linked-type Monocross rear shock offers adjustable spring preload and rebound damping to balance ride comfort with Supersport performance, from commuting to track days.

Sleek R-Series Styling

Aggressive, R-inspired design features slim bodywork for improved aerodynamics, handling, and agility. The signature M-shaped intake duct and tail wing echo the look of Yamaha's flagship Supersport YZF-R1.

Advanced A&S Clutch

The Assist and Slipper clutch reduces lever effort while smoothing downshifts and helping manage engine braking for a controlled feel. It also makes the Supersport experience more accessible, with an optional Quick Shift System (QSS) available for fast, smooth upshifts.
