I have a long history of sports, sports medicine, coaching, teaching, health and alternative health. I began this career when I took a position as head coach of a small competitive swimming club, at 19 years old. Had a successful year with national champion in breast stroke.
I coached while at university, studies in sports, physiology, exercise physiology, athletic and workplace medicine, martial arts, education, swimming instruction and lifeguarding. While doing all this, and working to put myself through school, I played waterpolo on the university team. I also helped coach a women's gymnastics club. I was the stronger male hired to help female coaches with heavy lifting they could not perform. 3 years after winning the regional university waterpolo championship, I later walked on to the college swim team and received a small scholarship, but ended swimming with shoulder injuries. Constantly in therapy for rotator cuff, injuries, I learned a lot.
In my years I also taught weight training and power skating.
Since then, incidentally, I repaired and strengthened shoulders with no surgery or outside treatments. As a boy I played all sports from hockey to baseball, swimming to waterpolo. I was also in a clown-diving group. We were paid pros.
in my 40s I tried out for a college hockey team, and made the team. That, in and of itself, is a story I can relate later. My capacity to take a hit in hockey as an older player, is due to healthy food and tai chi / qigong healing.
At this point I have much to share and pass on. My education never stopped after my years in college. Since then, 30 years ago, I have studied in depth some subjects and dabbled in others.
I am an iridologist and herbologist. I have not had a shot or med in 30 years, and have not been sick. As an iridologist, I have access to the True Foods Program for health.
I studied praying mantis kung fu, Shaolin Chuan Fa, wing Chung, Kenpo, judo, and three forms of tai chi. The eatery down versions can be found everywhere, but the original, as the argument goes, is Chen Long form. This is the form I teach. I teach this connected with my many disciplines, for longevity and strength. I studied Chinese Medicine along the way through various other. Disci0lines. All these disciplines are connected, so I can explain, in detail, the significance, for example, of why Chinese Medicine considered joints to be organs.
I also studied tai chi from two masters, one being Chinese who taught me things very few tai chi teachers know. I learned tai chi as a martial art. Thisis what I will be teaching. I will inform you up front, that tai chi as a martial art does provide some advantages. To be explained with ti chi philosophy.
I have taught children and currently my oldest student is 93 years old. Her balance, strength and agility has improved as a result of studying with me.
First class is free. You can study with me for whatever you hope to gain, or you might be one I decide to take on as an apprentice.
