This beautiful Aspenhome brand wood office set includes a desk (5'6" L x 2'8" D x 30.5" H), a nice 2-drawer lateral file (38" L x 2' D x 30.5"H) and a storage cube with a hinged lid (2' L x 2' D x 2' H). These pieces are a sharp black wood body. The desk and lateral file have an attractive mahogony wood top. The backside of the desk is fully finished, as opposed to having a cheap backing. This allows you to position this desk from either side towards your entry, as it is fully finished all the way around. This is a statement piece of furniture for your professional office or a polished look for your home office. The desk has a pull-out lowered keyboard tray (25.5" high) and two small top side drawers on each side with a single file drawer under each set of small desk drawers. All file drawers on desk and lateral file lock. Keys provided. The inside of the drawers are nicely fitted with separated compartments and lined with a tough felt interior for your office supplies. So, the desk not only has a fully finished exterior on all sides, but the interior of the desk drawers are also finely finished. The lateral file has room in each of the two drawers to store not only two rows of files in each drawer, but also odds and ends, such as copy paper, printer ink cartridges, etc. The smaller matching cube provides for safe keeping objects or more storage and has a solid black top. I paid just under $3,500 for this set a little over 15 years ago. It will take you 2 able-bodied individuals to move the desk and lateral file, as this is not made of a cheap wood substitute or particle board. Though heavy, the desk does quickly unbolt into 4 pieces for easier moving. These are nice pieces of substantial office furniture suitable for a private legal office or a nice home den.
