VenmoClassic Univega Alpina mountain bike for sale.
These older bikes from the late 90's to early 00's are making a comeback for general urban use and even bike-packing... because they are virtually indestructible and low maintenance and easy to maintain... and cheap!
They make great commuters and grocery / coffee getters and school / college bikes... because... well... let's be honest... crackheads don't really want to steal inexpensive bikes... there's no money in it!
As with most bikes of this era this one has a triple drivetrain... 3x9... so 27 gears to get you up and down the hills and dales and canyons of SLC.
The bike also has the climbing bar ends... which are a nice upgrade.
Overall the bike is in fantastic shape. Doesn't need anything at the moment... but the tires are on the older side and more for off-road so I'd swap those out with some urban tires if I were gonna use it mainly around town.
It's a great young adult bike... if you prefer them to get some actual exercise and not die on the roads riding e-bikes @ 20 to 40 mph...
Frame size is 18"... which is a "Medium"... so ideal for an average sized adult male... or taller female... +/- 5'7" to 5-10" range. (It currently has a steer tube height extender on it for a more upright riding position.)
Reply with any questions. I'm in the 9th and 9th area of SLC.
