I have two sets of good heads with casting numbers 14096217 for $200. a pair.

Another set of SBC marine heads with number 14102193...87-up...305/350......1.94"/1.5" valves. $50. for the #193 set.

The 217 heads came off a 285 horse power marine crate motor, lots of info online about the 217 heads producing 285 to 320 horse power. Some online info is 14096217 Iron heads, are center bolt. They are 1987+ (and later) and feature 72 degree center bolts. Valves are 1.94 and 1.5 with 64cc combustion chambers. $200. for the set.

These are the iron equivalent of the L98 head, they were used a lot on non Z-28 or 'Vette, 350, TPI engines of the late 1980's. They also showed up on some passenger cars with TBI.

These heads were also used on Marine 350 engines, including TBI marine engines. Power ratings were up to 320 HP depending on application. GM DID make a 300 HP crate engine with the "217" heads on it. The same engine now comes with "062" Vortec heads and makes an extra 30 HP. The 330 HP 350 HO replaced the now discontinued 300 HP 350 HO.
