I had the engine running before being pulled; no funny or knocking noises. It came out of a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee ZJ with ~220,000 miles on it.
It had an issue with the #8 (rear passenger side) cylinder where there was coolant getting into the cylinder. I tried engine sealer on it but that didn’t work so I replaced the motor.
I did not pull the head to investigate things any further. Could be a bad gasket, warped or cracked head, etc.

Have many extra jeep engine parts for models ZJ & WJ as well.
Take it all for $110 or make offers on what you think you might want.
Would consider trading for 7MM, 300 Weatherby, .223 rifle ammo or possibly something else cool.
