Breedlove Masterclass Custom Concert CE. This is a wonderful custom shop acoustic guitar, an absolutely stunning collector’s item. I purchased it strictly as a collector’s guitar, and other than the day I purchased it, it has not been played. It is the very definition of mint. It has been kept in a humidity and temperature controlled environment its whole life. It went straight from the custom shop (delivered personally by Breedlove), to my friend’s guitar store, and then to me, all in the same week, so it’s not something that hung around in a guitar store for months while random people tried it out. The craftsmanship on this guitar is through the roof. I’ve owned some seriously well crafted guitars, but this is definitely next level. The Ebony on the fingerboard is flawless. The figured maple neck is stunning. The figured Koa binding, rosette, heelcap, tailstrip, and fretboard binding are all just beautiful. The Myrtlewood back and sides are of the highest quality, and just absolutely the prettiest back and sides of any guitar I’ve ever seen. The top is high quality Port Orford Cedar, which is also flawless and beautiful but also a sonically unique tonewood as it falls in between the brightness of spruce and the warmth of cedar. Breedlove’s Custom shop installed an LR Baggs Anthem Tru-Mic pickup, and put this in the nicest case. A few other details: Saddle and nut are bone (1.75” nut width); Tuning Machines: Gotoh 510X-Gold. The bridge is ebony. Inlay is Mother of Pearl and Gold Pearl. The custom shop also installed the strap pin and end pin. All bracing is Sitka Spruce. I can’t say enough about how perfectly crafted this guitar is. Museum quality. The pictures all seem to have some glare so don't really show just how figured and flawless the wood is on back and sides. I'm happy to Facetime or send a video, if you want to see more. The price of this guitar when it was new in 2018 was $6,500.00. I put it on Reverb in 2020, and had a verified offer of $6,000.00 for it, but ended up taking it off of Reverb and keeping it. But here I am five years later and I’m now retiring and downsizing and selling all of my guitars. I don’t play it and I won’t have room to store it, so it really is time to let it go.
