VenmoSony Stereo System HP-810 – Vintage, Complete, Fully-Serviced Sony’s top-of-the-line all-in-one solid-state stereo system from the mid-70s. Fully serviced and fully functional with original SS-810 Sony speakers – great, warm vintage sound. Serviced and restored by Interwest Electronics in Salt Lake City. An incredible mid-century vintage piece that looks good and sounds good. I have invested much more into this than the asking price but need to make room for other vintage pieces in the collection. The built-in turntable is a Dual 1211, auto-on auto-off with a new OEM cartridge and stylus, dampered cueing lever, pitch control, speed selector, record-size selector, 45-rpm adaptor, stylus force dial, tonearm balance adjustment, hinged dust-cover. The built-in amplifier/tuner is 24 watts RMS/continuous power – well matched for the speakers, with hook-ups for two sets of speakers, a tape player, antennas, a ground connection, headphone jack, bass/treble/volume/balance controls. Tuner includes AM/FM and signal meter. Frequency response is 40 Hz – 40 kHz, harmonic distortion < 0.5%. Pleasant blue/green vintage lighting on the display. Speakers are 2-way acoustic-suspension speakers with 8” and 3” cones, 8 ohms, dimensions are 22.5”H x 13”W x 8.5”D. Will include a Bluetooth DAC receiver for streaming. Comes with original Owner’s Manual, Service Manual, speaker cables, and the Sony promotional ad. Sony promotional ad copy: This is our most expensive number: The HP-810. Describing what it has that makes it sound so good requires technical talk. If you know the jargon read on. Or you can simply listen to it, and hear what we mean. The HP-810 has components like the acclaimed Dual 1211 changer which operates either automatically or manually. There’s a magnetic stereo cartridge with a diamond stylus. And a queuing device plus anti-skating compensation to protect your records from life’s bumps, grinds, and scratches. There’s an amplifier powerful enough, so if you really want to, you can let all your neighbors know you have Sony’s finest compact. Without even inviting them over. The HP-810’s FM tuner has a Field Effect Transistor (FET), which picks up weak signals, yet minimizes interference on strong ones. Finally, with Sony’s acoustic-suspension speakers, your ears hear what they’re meant to hear. Low lows, high highs and everything in between. The Sony HP-810. Our very best compact stereo. We don’t know how to make it look better. Or sound better.
