Less expensive than carboard and without the waste and frustration. We rent plastic flip lid moving boxes. These are ready to load immediately, and upon emptying they stack inside of each other. I can tell you from personal experience this makes a local move SOOOOOOO much easier. I hate moving, its not a fun process. Recently we moved a few streets away and I was dreading the whole process remembering 10 years before how much I hated it. I didn’t realize that a large part of why I hated the process was because of cardboard. You spend all that time taping, folding, breaking down. It sucks the moisture from your hands, causes paper cuts, they crush, they are always different sizes, you end up driving to multiple places to get enough for your move. It's wasteful, and you have a huge pile to deal with once you are finished unpacking. Its not worth it! I used these nesting plastic flip lid moving boxes on my move and it was seriously life changing. The amount of time that it took to pack and unpack the kitchen was astounding. My wife and I just looked at each other amazed. No need to break down carboard, simply stack the nesting bins inside of each other once you have unpacked them and you're done! We ended up using 50 of them and just taking things over to the new house in 2-3 groups. If I was moving further, I would have just used 100 of them. Pick them up or have them delivered.
