Selling my horse please read everything! If I don’t think it’s a right fit I will not sell him. I want him to go to a good place because I do genuinely love this horse and it hurts me to get rid of him. But I don’t have the time for him currently. Start of with the basics 8-12 years 15/15.1hh grade horse - did have DNA tested a few years back came back with Andalusian, Morgan and quarter horse genes This horse is a project horse this horse needs someone who has time and patience. He is a lot of horse which is both good and bad, I think if someone could give him a job he would excel. Im currently in school and do not have the time I used too. He has currently sat for over a year so keep that in mind he needs a tune up but does have past experience so it’s not like he’s starting from ground one on most things.
He had about 1 year of riding out in him roughly I have some videos that shows how he moves under saddle/ what he’s done He’s nothing fancy and I never did anything fancy with him so he really doesn’t have any fine tuning on just about anything. The nice thing about this guy is he is a leader and very smart he’s a very confident horse down to the way he steps. Which can also be a issue he needs to be the head horse I haven’t put him with other horses who also have that leader mentality but he has been around them and more timid horses and he does get at them if he feel intimated. This horse is very low maintenance and a easy keeper I’ve owned him 3 years and not once have I fronted a vet bill past normal visits teeth etc, he’s a easy keeper as long as you keep his teeth done as he is missing one. He has two vices and I’ll be 100% open about them First farrier work, a hard one I have worked with him over and over and he’ll stand for me to work with his feet but the issue is this horse is in the nicest way a prick and if he doesn’t know you he doesn’t want you to mess with them. If you can find someone to be constant he won’t have issues but I will be up front that he’s bad with his feet and I simply hit a wall of I wasn’t sure how to fix it because he was fine for me. Trailering, I’ve worked with him other trainers and he has gotten better and will load but if he thinks he can get away with not loading he simply won’t, he really just is a bit of a struggle on it because sometimes he will sometimes he won’t and when he won’t it’s one of those big fights and he’ll just throw a fit. Willing to go more into detail send videos etc I just want him to go to someone who will genuinely love him and give him the time he needs and deserves
