Dubbed the "Pregnant Penguin", these all original 1972 B&W DM6 speakers were the epitome of audiophilia for their time, and the showcase of British hand-made quality at its best. They are extremely rare and highly sought after. In excellent working condition with original foam, tweeters, mids, woofers, speaker covers and stands (please don't try to argue otherwise, I know what I have). It's practically impossible to find a set that has all of this going for it. I recently had them inspected and everything is working as it should. The woofer surrounds are the original butyl rubber that B&W used at the time. Due to ozone, over time butyl rubber will look the way it does in the pictures. My repair man, the best there is, talked to B&W and was informed original replacement surrounds are not available. I opted to keep the original surrounds instead of replacing them with something aftermarket just so they can look pretty. The woofers are sealed and work perfectly. What you see is purely cosmetic and has no impact on function. (I only mention this because some viewers when I listed these previously were completely bent out of shape with how the woofer surrounds looked and seemed intent on trying to convince me that somehow this rendered the speakers trash).
