Mid-cenutry barrel chair designed by Edward Wormley for Drexel's Precedent Collection from the 40's/50's. It has a lacquered beech or elm frame with off-white cords that are woven into the back. The fabric is not original, and it's been re-upholstered in a red chenille. Some wear to the laquer on the arms (see pictures), but otherwise in very good vintage condition.
There's one of these up for sale on 1stdibs for $3,800 which is a rather silly amount of money
