Zellesale pending (2/6) LOMO stereo microscope for phase contrast examination of wet mount biological samples. Used pre-owned with signs of cosmetic wear, but is fully operational and functions as intended. Heavy duty construction weighing twelve pounds with transformer. The scope does not have a proper case. $250, no shipping, located in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. Phase contrast lens 10x, 20x, 40x, and 100x are included. The phase contrast feature uniquely focuses on transparent cells or microbes without needing a stain. Phase contrast is the preferred method for live wet-mount slides. The 'phase contrast' lenses are capable of 'bright field' examination for stained slides when the lower condenser is opened fully. The scope has a condenser underneath the slide stage used in conjunction with phase contrast lenses. The phase condenser is in a circular turret with adjustable height aligned with a set of adjustment screws. The turret also has an Abbe condenser with an aperature diaphragm. The scope was originally illuminated with a halogen bulbs, provided, but I have also provided LED bulbs that work well. A couple of warm and cool light LED bulbs both are provided. With this post, pictures from the manual are given along side equipment pieces. While a camera is not included, I've shared a 'bright field' photo of stained bacteria. LOMO stands for 'Leningrad Optical and Mechanical Enterprise' and is a Russian microscope manufacturer since 1934. I'm guessing it's from the 1970's and with the attached table of images I believe the model is a BMH4-BF or possibly P15. I purchased the scope ten years ago from an industrial paper mill. BMH4-BF https://www.opticsplanet.com/mulbm.html Here is the official Russian LOMO site: https://www.lomo-microsystems.ru/ This German site has many references to the LOMO product history: http://www.mikroskopfreunde-nordhessen.de/lomo.php Only items pictured are included, other accessories unless they are pictured are probably not included. Some odds and ends are given such as glass slides and wipes as a courtesy, also a piece of plastic screen used to help focus when needed. Please ask if you have any questions and I would be happy to help.
