Coming from a milti-generation private collection is this gorgeous 100+ year old saddle made between 1900-1910. This particular saddle has a special pouch that was specifically used for horseshoe nails because of the long distances traveled. You definitely didn't want to be caught with a lamed-up horse with a thrown shoe in the middle of nowhere back in the day, so this pocket was added. You won't see this pouch on many saddles! The military used a few saddles like this, and so did the forest service. Comes with matching tapederos!!*

This saddle is in amazing condition for its age. The woolskin underneath is also in exceptional condition for being over 100 years old! Included will also be a very old saddle pad from a similar era. If you collect old saddles, or want to start.. this is a perfect addition!
