VenmoThis is a very compact guitar, ideal for travel. I used to take it on a plane. sticking it in my backpack (it would stick out at the top) so I could still take a carry on bag.
It comes with the lap stand pictured in the one photo (curved chrome metal piece that detaches). But I was never a huge fan of that lap stand, so I made a wooden body (painted blue) that I culd screw on. I would pack the blue piece of wood in my suitcase, and could attach it to the guitar when I got to my desination. That made it feel like a regular guitar in my hands.
I am also throwing in a Traveler TGA-1A headphone amp that sells for $30. You can plug a set of earbuds into it, and then adjust the voulme and tone settings so you can listen to youreself play, while being virtually silent to everyone around you. Great for playing in airports or hotel rooms. Of course, the guitar comes with a standard 1/4" jack, so you can play through any amp, and be as loud as you like.
For more details, here is a description from the Traveler website:
The Ultra-Light is the smallest, lightest, full-scale travel guitar on the market. Our proprietary In-Body Tuning System uses standard tuning machines relocated into the body, eliminating the need for a headstock. You get the same full-scale playing experience you're used to on an instrument that's substantially shorter and lighter than a typical full-size electric.
