VenmoI have for sale 7 Acoustic Research (AR) speakers. AR 312 HO pair AR 15 pair AR 17 pair AR 4C single They all sound fine. The AR 312 HO (HO for "high output") in particular is very sensitive, at 97 dB. I can play them uncomfortably loud with a 50 W amp. The original foam tweeters in the AR 312 HO were replaced by the same titanium tweeters as in the other speakers. These were sent by AR as one of the foam tweeters was damaged and they were out of them. In other words, AR was okay with it. The plastic grid in the AR 312 HO and AR 4C grilles is cut away in front of the tweeters. This is invisible with the grilles on. I don't know whether this makes an audible difference. There are some scrapes on the foam around the tweeters in the AR 15s and 17s. Some of this was from the grille. It doesn't affect the sound. The AR 15s and 17s have had wall mounts attached before. Some of the holes were filled with wood filler. The 312 HO frequency response and equalization filters for a Harman target are shown in a photo. I can send you these filters for use in Equalizer APO.
