Vintage Golden Eagle Eagle Takedown Recurve Bow – Early 1970s (Circa 1972–1973) Make: Golden Eagle Archery (USA) Model: Eagle – Takedown Recurve Year: Early 1970s (estimated 1972–1973) Type: Bolt-down takedown recurve (pre-ILF) This listing is for an early-generation Golden Eagle “Eagle” takedown recurve bow, produced in the early 1970s, prior to the later deep-recurve Eagle models most commonly seen online. This example features the earlier straight / mild working-limb design, which dates it to approximately 1972–1973. Unlike later performance-oriented Eagles with aggressive hooked recurves, this bow reflects Golden Eagle’s early hunting-bow design philosophy—quiet, smooth, and durable, with long working limbs and modest recurve at the tips. Construction & Features Bolt-down takedown limb system (not ILF) Laminated hardwood riser with original Golden Eagle graphics Wood-laminated limbs with black glass backing Early straight / mild limb geometry Traditional hunting configuration Condition Fair to good vintage condition, consistent with age Normal cosmetic wear to finish and graphics (see photos) No visible limb cracks, twists, or delamination Limbs appear straight when unstrung Stored indoors Draw weight marking is faint or no longer visible, which is common for bows of this era. Bow may be weighed on a scale upon request, or sold as-is. Additional Notes Earlier straight-limb Eagles are older and less common than later versions Designed for traditional archery and bowhunting setups A solid example of an early-1970s American-made recurve Please review all photos carefully and feel free to ask questions prior to purchase.
