I have 2 twin beds that are almost identical, one of them is about a 6"-12" shorter clearance in the under bed area. Both beds can convert down to shorter beds by flipping the posts and taking the stairs away. These were home built by a local carpenter and we have had them a few years. They could use a sand and restraining but they still look good in the current condition. really easy to assemble. One of them was already disassembled before we decided to sell them so I only have a picture of the one but the only difference is the height to the bottom of the bed from the floor, one is 3 steps the other is 4. The bed pictured has a clearance of 53.5" under the bed.
