These are in excellent cosmetic and functional condition as you can see from the pictures. The active versions of Quad's very popular 12L speakers. No need for an amplifier - just plug your source into the inputs (which of course can include streaming sources).
These speakers have that smooth Quad 'house sound', but have suprisingly good bass slam due to being active. Bass seems to go deeper than their passive counterparts IMO.
Each speaker has a built in Class A/B 60W amp for the 6.5" driver and 40W amp for the 1" tweeter. Accepts RCA or XLR inputs, adjustable volume and overload protection (which I have never needed). The speakers are in excellent condition and the gloss black finish is blemish free. I ran these via the balanced and RCA inputs with excellent results. The only reason I'm selling is because I'm running a newer pair of Quad S2's.
