Savannas are a meat goat cousin of the Boer goat. They come from South Africa, developed partly from some wild indigenous white goats with good parasite resistance, stronger hooves, quick rate of gain, and excellent mothering abilities. Savannas create true hybrid vigor for your meat goat herd. They were brought to the United States about 25 years ago and have limited availability.
