Named after US space rockets of the time, Emerson manufactured a series of Model 888 transistor radios during the late 1950s and early 1960s, . In addition to the Pioneer, there were Atlas, Explorer, Galaxy, Satellite, Titan, and Vanguard models, all similar but with different cabinets. All are very collectable. This one is in very good condition, however untested.
