This was my Plex server for years. It never gave me a day of trouble. I simply upgraded last year and it's time to make room. It has space for up to 24 hard drives. You'll need to buy some Supermicro disk caddies but those are very cheap on ebay. You'll also need hard drives. Unraid will let you take all your old hard drives you have laying around the house and use them all at once to get started. I couldn't get the video working but you don't need it since it's intended for remote use. There is a basic video card in it that you can have. If you install Unraid on it, it will let you choose the IP address from which you can access the control interface. (Unraid is installed and ran from a thumbdrive. USB 2.0 is recommended) It is kinda loud as servers are. This is best in a dedicated space or in a garage. Comes with 2 working power supplies. All the hard drive spaces are connected to the motherboard with HBA cards and the backplane.
Supermicro X9QR7-TF+/X9QRi-F+ 4x Intel Xeon CPU E5-4620 2.20 Ghz Each one has 8 cores,16 threads and 16 megabytes of L3 cache 128 Gigabytes DDR3 ECC RAM 3 HBA cards that feed the backplane for the hard drives into the motherboard All running temperatures are normal and fans working. (shown in pic) Gigabit or 10 gigabit network interface if you want to use the spare PCI slot for that. Works with 3.5 spinning drives or with SSD drives. You just have to buy the appropriate disk caddy. You pick up. I'll help you load as it is quite heavy even without hard drives.
